Description

TPC Sawgrass’s Stadium Course is more than just a golf destination — it’s a pilgrimage for serious players and fans of the game alike. Located in Ponte Vedra Beach on Florida’s scenic northeast coast, this iconic layout was envisioned and executed by the legendary Pete Dye, with input from his wife Alice, in a design that prioritized both spectator viewing and strategic shot-making. Since opening in 1980, the Stadium Course has become a permanent fixture in the global golf conversation and the annual host of THE PLAYERS Championship, a tournament widely considered the “fifth major” due to its elite field and dramatic finishes.

Every hole at TPC Sawgrass is a test of nerve, strategy, and execution. Dye’s design incorporates visual intimidation and strategic complexity: narrow landing areas, deep pot bunkers, penal waste areas, sharp doglegs, and water hazards lurking in pivotal places. The par-3 17th — known simply as the “Island Green” — is perhaps the most famous hole in golf. Playing just 137 yards, it has destroyed scorecards and crowned champions. But it’s just one of 18 memorable tests, each offering a unique experience for players of all skill levels.

What sets TPC Sawgrass apart is its accessibility. Despite its prestigious reputation and PGA TOUR pedigree, it remains open to the public through Stay & Play packages with the adjacent Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort. Golfers can enjoy the same perfectly manicured fairways and greens that have hosted Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Justin Thomas.

Beyond the course itself, the TPC Sawgrass experience includes elite amenities such as state-of-the-art practice facilities, a world-class instruction center, forecaddie services, and one of the best clubhouses in the Southeast. Whether you're looking to check off a bucket-list course or immerse yourself in one of Florida’s top golf resort experiences, TPC Sawgrass delivers a round you’ll never forget.
