Description

Streamsong Black is the boldest and most dramatic of the three championship courses at Streamsong Resort. Designed by Gil Hanse and opened in 2017, the Black Course is a modern marvel that celebrates scale, creativity, and visual drama — a course that challenges conventions and elevates Florida golf to another level. With vast fairways, massive greens, and wild elevation shifts, Black is a journey that demands both imagination and precision from tee to green.

Set on the resort’s most expansive and exposed terrain, the course is framed by windswept dunes, ridgelines, and native sandy waste areas that give it a rugged yet minimalist aesthetic. The fairways are generously wide, but that’s where the mercy ends. Green complexes are among the most unique in the state — some over 18,000 square feet — with tiers, false fronts, and bold contours that create endless pin placement variety. Bunkering is artistic and strategic, often tucked into slopes or flanking greens at intimidating angles.

Streamsong Black’s routing weaves through a natural rhythm, with long views across the property and holes that are as visually intimidating as they are fun to play. Highlights include the long par-3 5th, played into a natural bowl; the split-fairway 9th that tempts aggression; and the unforgettable closing stretch where the par-5 18th offers a final risk-reward moment under the watchful eye of the ultra-modern Black clubhouse.

Complementing the course is The Gauntlet — a 2-acre putting course — and The Roundabout, a 7-hole short course perfect for a warmup loop or twilight hang. Between its cutting-edge design, elite resort amenities, and memorable shot values, Streamsong Black is a can’t-miss experience and a cornerstone of any Florida golf trip.

Complete the Streamsong trifecta: Streamsong Black rounds out the resort’s trio of nationally acclaimed courses. Pair your round with the Red Course by Coore & Crenshaw and the Blue Course by Tom Doak to experience three very different takes on world-class golf — all in one unforgettable destination.
